Moms are always trying to get their kids to try new things, especially when it comes to food. And while it can be a struggle to get someone to eat their vegetables, how would you feel about being forced to eat crickets? I know I’d gladly take brussel sprouts any day. Here are some dishes prevalent in the Philippines; and though they may be considered a bit outlandish, they are also (apparently) delicious:

1. Kamaru

A dish consisting of fried field crickets cooked in soy sauce and vinegar. They have a crunchy texture and are packed with B vitamins and protein.
